There are so many different Real estate websites out there. While some agents might be afraid to leads you to another site, I truly believe that knowledge is power and that you SHOULD read various sites to get a better perspective on the market. In the end, my hope is that you will feel comfortable enough to give me a call or drop me a line to help you buy or sell your home.  So, in the spirit of educating, here are some of the real estate that I use for research.

WWW.Zillow.com  Zillow is a portal for listings, but it also has some amazing analytics.  What they don't have is access to all listings in the MLS.  Brokers are able to deny Zillow access to their listings.  Zillow uses multiple Analytics to create what they call a "Zestimate".  You should take these estimates with a grain of salt as they can be quite wrong in some cases.  The site does have some great buying trends information and other things that your agent might not want you to see such as prior listing information and price adjustments.  Take a look!

www.Realtor.com  Realtor.com is another portal for consumers, but unlike Zillow, it tends to be more accurate.  They have access to many more listings and are updated much more frequently.  The site has some great articles about financing, schools, and home renovation.  Here is what they don't tell you and the same is true for Zillow.  The sites do not sell a single piece of real estate.  What they DO sell are leads to real estate agents.  You should know that when you click on the get more information buttons, many times that information is sold to another agent.  What does this mean to you?  Tons of phone calls or emails. Be careful about giving out your information online.  Sometimes it gets sold to multiple agencies.  For example, did you know that Zillow.com is also part of Trulia.com

www.Inman.com. Inman News is not really geared towards consumers, but if you can grab a bit of information that helps you, why not give it a try?

www.century21.com. The Century 21 website has a ton of options!  It's a GLOBAL site.  This means that you can search homes around the world.  They translate to over 18 languages as well as monetary denominations.  This can also give you an edge when listing your home.  There are some very strong foreign markets that like to purchase in Florida.  If your home is in the tourist section or nearby, you will definitely want to ensure you use a company like this to give you global exposure!  The web address for full global site is https://www.century21global.com
